Renting Sampling Equipment
U.S. Micro-Solutions, Inc. is pleased to provide our customers with low cost rental equipment for field sampling. The N-6 Single Stage Air Sampler and Zefon Bio-Pump are available for rental at a low cost to our customers.
U.S. Micro-Solutions, Inc. also provides cleaning and calibration services.
Anderson N6 Single Stage Bioaerosol Sampler The purpose of the Anderson N6 single stage sampler is to separate organisms from the air in order to conduct a culturable assay to assess the quality of air. The Anderson N6 single stage sampler is generally considered the "gold standard" for collection of culturable air samples and is available
for rental from U.S. Micro-Solutions, Inc.
The N6 is comprised of an aluminum inlet cone, sampling stage,
and a base plate held together by three spring clamps and sealed
with o-ring gaskets. The sampling stage has 400 precision machined
orifices.
The collection
and assessment of aerosol samples is very simple. A petri dish
containing an agar medium appropriate for the microorganisms which
may be encountered is placed in the instrument and a sample of
air is drawn. The petri dish is then removed, shipped to our laboratory, incubated, and counted by our trained analysts.

In commercial
particle sampling devices such as the Zefon Bio-Pump, particles are drawn
through a tapered slitted orifice and impacted on an adhesive-coated cover
slip. The Zefon Bio-Pump is a portable, battery-powered pump that provides
the simplest and most convenient way to sample with Air-O-Cell and Allergenco cassettes at a flow rate of 15 LPM.
